The Adventure Mini Village proudly forms part of Waterworld leisure resort in Stoke – the UK’s number one indoor tropical aqua park.

Inspired by The Play Village role-play venue we designed and built in Ashbourne, the Waterworld team approached us to create something special that complemented their existing business.

The result is a beautifully hand-crafted replica of key buildings in Stoke that form miniature role-play pods for small children to enjoy and let their imaginations run wild.

Each play pod is painstakingly made from wood and hand painted. You’ll find the art deco Regent Theatre, Royal Stoke University Hospital, a canal boat as a nod to the river Trent, and a kiln to represent The Potteries.

Despite ambitious timescales, a strict budget, and an immovable space to work with – we overcame all challenges, and everybody is overjoyed with the result. Especially the pottery kiln, which despite being difficult to create, looks extraordinary.
